Look for a different insurer! You could go on the other drivers, Im on my husbands policy and cos Im over 25 it costs £8 a month extra.

you need insurance every time you get behind the wheel of a car. most people get round the cost by going on their parents’ insurance as an additional driver.

If it is on a public road most definitely.

Why don’t you have your parents- sister- brother- any relative-friend-an adult bring you out driving. And I don’t know where you got your insurance quote from but $2500 for 4 months no way.I would call other insurance company’s.

Yes you need insurance to drive on any public road. I think that the driver (even if fully comp) has to report you as a provisional driver to the insurance company (who may refuse). But £2500! That would probably buy you 100 extra lessons!

You will not necessarily benefit from someone who’s not qualified to teach as experienced drivers often have bad habits, whereas the instructor will be teaching you as its meant to be to pass your test.

If you are so set on passing by April why not book an intensive course.? It will cost you much less.

Does it cost that much for him/her
to put you on their insurance or
you have to pay? Check all ways.

    Yes, you do
Try this link below. Works for me.
Lessons are the way to go though and then get insurance with your fresh licence. Won’t be cheap but will be better.
If you still get stupid quotes it could be down to the type of car you are trying to insure.

You know you need insurance and that being a learner driver actually makes it more imperative. As an inexperienced driver you are bad news to any insurance company because the risks of you being involved in an accident are so high
