  • of course you can pay. this is the exchequer, they ll take your money wherever you are… and theyll probably accept paypal…

contact the inland revenue, or your local taxx office. thres one iin almost every city…(there would be..)
click the link, itll be in there.

  • yes you can continue to make voluntary payments to top up your pension and benefit rights

  • Y ? would you want to ?

  • Yes no problem. Have a look at the link below.

  • I am in this position and have it sorted out.

    Write to:

    H M Revenue and Customs,
    National Insurance Contributions,
    Centre for Non-Residents,
    Room BP1301,
    Benton Park View,
    Newcastle Upon Tyne,
    NE98 1ZZ
    United Kingdom

They will need your NI number.

If it is pension you are thinking about then the rules are changing soon and I believe it will become not worth paying voluntary contributions if you have already paid in for 30 years.

If you will be working the rate of contributions is about £110 per annum, if not going to be working then it is about £350 pa.

I fax everything to them on 00 44 191 22 54215 to speed things up.

    Good luck with the move

  • yes you can it may be sensible if you intend to return to the UK or live within the EC,as you are leaving the EC at present. It also depends on how old you are your contributions record to date,as ultimately the amount of state pension you receive is based on your contribution record i.e how many years you have contributed.
