What may happen if I do not send Certificate of Motor Insurance to Tesco after I cancelled the insurance deal?

they will charge your the rest of the policy mate just send it

cancellation will not be valid until they receive the certificate and they will charge you for the duration of the policy or if you have paid in advance, the refund will be reduced

Until they receive the renewal policy they will keep the policy in force. If you close you account they will cancel the policy for non-payment, which may or may not affect you ability to be insured with a good company in the future. Also they’ll probably send the outstanding amount to collections.
