  • i saved loads using confused.com
    give em a go

  • try ringing an insurance broker, they should be able to help you find the cheapest or you can compare prices on this site which says they do young drivers insurance comparisons

  • Basically toss a coin for which is best, you pay your money and takes your choice, better to use one of the internet search engines to find the best/cheapest. The length of time you’ve held a licence sometimes doesn’t come into it,but your age does depending on the company.

  • I’ve had my license for 9 months and I’m 18. I’m insured with Endsleigh, if they can insure me on a Focus 1.8 for £1400 I’m sure they can get a good quote for you too.

  • there is no one-company-fits-all when it comes to car insurance since all companies view things differently.

The best thing to do is shop around. Use all the comparison sites you can, try other insurers which aren’t listed and even then, haggle!

Some companies target young drivers and say they give you the best prices……. doesn’t mean they actually do though!

the best thing to do is read this article:

is explained most of the ways of buying cheaper car insurance. (The little video is good too)

BEWARE: Lying about anything to make it cheaper can invalidate your insurance. That means you’re effectively driving without valid insurance, which is illegal. Eg. Keeping your car in a locked garage can save you money…. but if you don’t have a garage and say you do – they will find out eventually (if your car get’s stolen for example!)

    Good luck!

Like I said in your other question, give me an email if you get stuck. It can be scary first time (and i’m 23 myself :-) )

  • Shop around and as you said insurance will be high for your age and not much no claim bonus…good luck
