  • I’m not quite sure which type of insurance would best suit your needs, but any broker would put you wise on this. Allianz seem to be doing insurance for every purpose, in Ireland and I think all over Europe, but do price around. I have had a Public Liability policy with them for years and thought the cost fairly reasonable, but this year I have heard of another company, Irish this time, which offers the same protection for almost have the fee. So keep your ears open.

Good luck with the new venture !!

  • I don’t know what state you are in. Go to a good independent agent and let them find the best company for you.

If you are cleaning something and you break it, your General Liability coverage won’t cover you. If you are cleaning – say if you are mopping and knock over something else, it will. That’s assuming it is a normal, unendorsed CGL policy – there are so many verisions and endorsements – so be sure you ask your agent and have the explain what kind of coverage you are getting so you have no unhappy surprises.

Try the link for Trusted Choice to find a reputable agent.

  • Try Farmers, Allstate, State Farm, and some other big carriers. Ask them for a business policy that includes liability. Just shop around. It doesn’t cost much.
