  • It’s impossible to know how much, it’s for yourself to do quotes.

You can pay monthly, but it’s cheaper to pay it on one lump sum, as they charge extra for paying monthly because it’s a loan.

  • gocompare, moneysupermarket or comparethemarket all do lots of quotes, you just need to enter all of your details and press the button…

  • My advise would be to try a car insurance comparison website such as confused.com or moneysupermarket.com. However, that said when you have done this look through your local yellowpages or similar and call local brokers for quotes. These are not usually on comparison websites but because they are local they are usually cheaper. I did this and my first year driving I payed £900 in insurance. I have now been driving for 5 years and still use local brokers and this year paid £300 fully comp.

The reason I say use a website first is so you get an idea of prices first. One of the best insurers I ever used was a company called Barry Granger- that was in my 3rd year driving and I only paid £300 3rd party fire and theft, I had a fault claim at this point too and noone could beat that!

Hope you find the affordable insurance you are looking for

  • If you buy a 99 Punto 1.2 insurance costs will be the least of your worries! Don’t do it. These cars were crap when they were new, have a bad reputation for a myriad of faults and a 10 year old one is just asking for trouble.
