Don’t see any reason why not – just let your Insurance Company or Brokers know, and they will alter the start date for you.
Well, if your chimney fell down or a wall fell over and landed on your car, what then? best get the insurance mate.
Call your insurance agent, tell him / her the situation, otherwise they will cancel the coverage for non payment.
FYI before you take coverage off your vehicle make sure that you won’t lose any prior insurance discount. Otherwise when you start it back up in Feb you may get a much higher premium.
Ask your agent or company to renew your coverage effective this Friday, with comprehensive coverage only. This will cover your car against fire, theft, vandalism etc.while you are gone.
But you must remember to call your agent when you are back from your holiday, before you start driving again, to restore your policy to full coverage.

Be careful doing this because you are then seen as an uninsured driver to the company if you get dropped. Does your company have a grace period? Call your agent and ask them that question. I would find a way to get it paid cause it is NOT worth the trouble it could cause. And just for the record, I had a friend whose car was in her driveway and still got hit!!!! Better to be safe then sorry.
You should contact your insurance company. They may offer a discount rate for the month the car isn’t being driven. You do not want to risk being canceled for nonpayment.
Of course you can.
BUT
Don’t forget that it won’t be insured while you’re away and if anything happens, (e.g. it gets broken into or stolen) you won’t have any way of recouping the loss.
For auto insurance the most efficient way to get a great rate is do a policy comparison on car policies. Make sure that you compare similar policies with the same deductibles, car make, location, etc so that all things are a good comparison.
What I always recommend is an online comparison quote at since they have top name insurers and can give several prices on car insurance polices.
Just tell the insurance company when you call them up to renew.
for the situation like yours,I would like to suggest you have a look here
That should not be a problem, call your agent and see what he thinks of this.
