How do I write a statement of repair for the car insurance people?

You don’t need to word it, look at what you wrote they want a statement from the repairer! I is the company who repaired your car who write it.

FIND A DIFFERENT INSURANCE COMPANY, THE INVOICE WILL DO JUST FINE AND WHAT IS A STATEMENT OF REPAIR ANYWAY.
