Wisconsin is one such state but I do not know about Georgia. If insurance is required in Ga and there is none, the owner of the vehicle will be the one in hot water, not the driver. (Assuming the driver has proper permission to drive the auto). What is the friends role in this ? If it is his car you will be driving, he may have insurance on the auto ?
