For some its a bolt for freedom, for others its independence at last! The world outside beckons and off, you go answering its call with gusto! But is Uni life all that its cracked up to be?

A lot will be going on in your first week of college so the important thing to do is to sort out your business affairs before the offing. In terms of budget planning, remember one thing, that all landlords will require a deposit from their tenants. Many in fact will require a deposit (usually equivalent to a months rent) and your first months rent. When paying up remember there is a law now that all landlords belong to one of the three deposit protection schemes to ensure fairness and responsibility throughout the tenancy. If in doubt do not become a tenant of the landlord in question.
